AMM 3D-Golf Certified
Motion Capture Specialist
Level 1

AMM 3D Golf Motion Capture Certification is a two day seminar designed for the golf fitness, medical or teaching professional who has purchased an AMM 3D Golf System including the TPI 3D analysis software. It is a training seminar on how to operate the system, set up the golfer, capture the swing, interpret the results and affect positive changes in the swing. The course is designed to be hands on and interactive with the students attaching the sensors, capturing swings in 3D, operating the software and interpreting the results. The concepts of style versus efficiency will be addressed with significant time spent on understanding and interpreting the Kinematic Sequence. An introduction to the real-time biofeedback capabilities of the system will also be given. The seminar is outlined below; on passing an oral/written test you will be certified as an:

Motion Capture Specialist 
Level 1

• Overview and set up of system hardware and software
• Demonstration of AMM and TPI 3D software
• Attaching the sensors, aligning and digitizing the golfer, capturing swings
• Review of graphs, comparison table and TPI 3D biomechanical reports
• Comparing swings to the PGA, LPGA and Champions Tour database and creating our own swing databases
• Demonstration of audio and visual biofeedback capabilities
• Hands on experience for the student
• Interpreting the Kinematic Sequence
• Review of transition order and joint loading; including understanding of Downswing Spine Stretch (X-Factor Stretch) and Joint Loading
• Examination of efficiency by review of downswing peaking order, and segmental accelerations/decelerations
• Interpreting acceleration variations and relating them to dynamic stability issues with pelvis and thorax
• Interpreting the TPI 3D biomechanics reports and the big twelve swing faults
• Comparing the results of the TPI physical screens and the dynamic range of motion data from the TPI 3D report
• Practical applications of biofeedback drills to affect changes in the kinematic sequence.

On completion of the test and successful certification, instructor will receive a certificate suitable for framing, signed by Phil Cheetham “The 3D Guy”. Instructor will also be posted on the AMM3D website as a fully certified specialist.

Although designed for AMM clients that have purchased the AMM3D system, the seminar is also available to those simply wishing to become certified in hopes of securing a position at an existing 3D site.

Since this certification is relatively new there are currently only a few certified specialists. However, if you currently own an AMM3D system and are not officially certified then for only $95 you can take the written test and become certified, provided you pass and also supply AMM with one example evaluation done on the system. You will then be sent the certificate, added to the AMM website and permitted to use the AMM certified logo.

Certification Test Rules
20 questions worth 5 each; plus 5 bonus questions worth 2 each; 80 points needed to pass; bonus points are only added if needed to pass.Each candidate must answer the questions individually since we certify people not companies. If answers are identical test must be re-done or each with the same answers will fail. This is however an “open book” exam, you can look through the software and any documents to find the answers. The test can be taken multiple times.
